Summer Feast

This painting was created en plein air at the California State Fair.
I stood quietly behind the bushes, painting from noon till dusk —
watching the light shift, the shadows stretch,
and summer unfold its vibrant energy across the fairgrounds.
In front of me: music, laughter, and constant motion.
But where I stood, it was all stillness —
just a few tired people taking a break…
and one plein air painter, quietly capturing it all.
